Big Brother Big Sisters 2011-2013

Conducted after school programs which resulted in at least thirty students having activities to do after school.

Instructed elementary children on how to do well on their homework that helped them do well in their coursework. Examples of this was flashcards of material,

Formulating ideas and making up extracurricular activities for small children. This included us helping organize a Halloween party for the children that had each child having a college student partnering with them and taking them around different fun activities that were set up in a huge so that they could interact with one another.

Follets Purdue Bookstore 2012

•Helped process and exchange books during the rental and buyback period which involved over 20,000 students returning and selling course materials during the last week of school.

•Operated and balanced the cash register during the hours of work and was able to contribute to the company making almost $600 in one day by selling books and exchanging books.

•Provided customer service while also handling the disburse of money.

Facility Attendant at Rec Sports 2012-2014

Responsible for maintaining building security and safety for Recreational Sports facilities

Assisted with event and program coordination which involved helping with the planning of the biggest dance marathon at Purdue University for benefitting Riley Hospital for Children event that helped raise over a million dollars.

Interacted directly with patrons and provided the highest level of customer service at all times. This includes helping patrons with how to use the machines, answering any questions to make the patron more informative of the facility and the different options presented to them.

Restocking shelves with new products and helping customers with assistance of those products.

Assisting customers in sales and on third week on job had a customer purchase $553 worth of products

Help with maintenance of store from floors to overall appearance to keep it in presentable shape for the customers.

HONORS AND RECOGONITIONS:

Attended the 22nd annual Emily Mauzy Vogel Sophomore Leadership Development Conference (EMV). The selection of this event was based on academic and leadership qualities the individual exemplifies.

Attended the Mortar Board Leadership Conference that was held by a National Senior Honor society. Recognizes students for scholarship, leadership, and service to the community.

Selected and attended the Inaugural Empowering & Cultivating Emerging Leaders Conference at Purdue University that aimed to cultivate your leadership and empower you to promote diversity and help create an inclusive campus climate.

Selected for a 10-day program at Fordham University involving Entrepreneurship and Business. Program was named the National Student Leadership Conference and I was able to gain the knowledge and experience to know what to do academically and socially to be successful.

Chosen for a three-day program called Project Uplift at University of North Carolina which was for rising high school seniors that involved the credentials of being academically motivated, ranking in the top 20% of their class, being enrolled in a curriculum that includes AP course(s), foreign language, and advanced mathematics.
