I am a recent graduate of the accelerated Child and Youth Worker Program at St. Clair College- Thames Campus and past graduate of the University of Windsor with a Bachelors Degree of Arts and Social Sciences in Child Psychology with a minor in History.
I believe that I would be a great fit with PLD Promotions as I have approximately 7 years of customer service experience. I am an organized, out-going and professional individual which shows in the tasks that I complete. I am dedicated to the work I do and creating a positive environment around me. Throughout my past work experience I have learned to work well with others as well as independently, generate ideas and accept constructive feedback. I have learned to be flexible and I can adapt to the environment around me. At Hiatus House, I am working as a Child and Youth Counsellor facilitating psycho-educational groups for
victims and witnesses of domestic violence. Hiatus House offers the opportunity to work as relief in the
residential role as well which entails working with the women that have admitted to the shelter. This
environment is high pressure and fast paced which helps to enhance my CYW skills.
Ardene, Devonshire Mall, Windsor: Sales Associate September 2012-Present
Ardene offers a variety of jobs from cashier, to cleaning, to helping meet the needs of customers, organizing stock, and more. Working within a mall allows for interaction with many people in a given day, improving the ability to work well with others, as well as on independent tasks.
Chatham Railroad Museum Society: Museum Curator Summers of 2012, 2013, and 2014
The Chatham Railroad Museum consists of local and national railroad history. As the summer curator, I was in charge of providing informational tours within the train, as well as provide outreach tours to local facilities. Another aspect of the museum was the upkeep both inside and out, as well as financial matters. At this facility I had to deal with a number of situations helping me to strengthen my versatility.
