To Whom it may concern,

I am writing in response to your interest in hiring a Physician Assistant to join your team. Spine Surgery has peaked my interest since I first contemplated a career in medicine and I am extremely interested in exploring career opportunities within this field. Enclosed is a copy of my CV for your review.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double concentration in Biology and Psychology from Iona College along with a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from Pace University. I was hired by a multi-specialty medical group shortly after my graduation and am currently working at Hospital for Special Surgery as an intricate part of an orthopedic team. My current duties include performing histories and physical exams pre and post-operatively, prepping and positioning patients and first assisting in the operating room. I work closely with the rest of the medical team to ensure the best quality health care is provided to our patients. My responsibilities, which include ordering diagnostic studies and conducting management plans as well as educating patients, make me confident that my qualifications will surpass your expectations. I am goal oriented and greet new and challenging situations with determination and enthusiasm. My adaptability and willingness to learn has contributed to my proficiency across multiple areas of medical care. My colleagues have consistently praised me for my bedside manner as well as expressed great satisfaction with my overall work ethic. I express compassion and sincerity to all which helps provide patients with the comfort and confidence they deserve.

I spend part of my free time reading about new medical protocols and current treatment guidelines. I am very personable and thrive in areas which require excellent communication skills and multi-tasking. For me, PA board certification was only the beginning; my ultimate goal is to become the best at what I do.

Based on my extensive education, broad medical knowledge and willingness to learn, I would be grateful for an opportunity to interview with you to discuss the specific ways in which I could be an asset to your facility. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Michael Lackner PA-C
