Resume:

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Michael Campbell and I am a professional athlete. I am a free agent for the National Football League. I received my degree in public relations from Temple University in May 2012, majoring in Public Relations. In my first stint with the Jets during the 2011-2012 season, I made the team via the practice squad and was the sixth wide receiver on the depth chart. Throughout the season I helped and prepared the team for upcoming opponents by simulating teams’ offensive schemes and playing the role of the opposition’s best wide receiver. My first year in the NFL came with many lessons about how business operates in the NFL. Being that it was a shortened season, I had to learn quickly in a condensed time span. Not only did I learn about business in the football world, but also about business in general. Shortly after being released by New York I was signed by St. Louis. I then went on to sign with the Montreal Alouettes and was released in August 2013. Shortly after being released I was afforded the opportunity to sign with the New York Jets for the 2013- 2014 season. During the season I was a member of the practice squad as well as participating in 6 games as an active player. The main thing I attained from my experiences in the NFL and CFL was how to be a professional on and off the field.

During my time working for Carib. International, I acquired skills that would transfer over to a job that requires planning, analyzing, organizing and prioritizing daily work load. My daily duty varied from collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from various resources, scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, appointments, and events, as well as collecting data and using it to effectively improve all aspects of the business and increase profits. This job taught me the value of being organized, and producing high-quality work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment based on stringent expectations.

Throughout my time spent at Temple University, I volunteered for over 100 hours of community service. Community service was an assortment of cleaning the streets of Temple University and its surrounding areas, going to local hospitals and reading to kids, and serving food at food help lines. For the past 6 years I have been spending time volunteering across New Jersey at high schools, hospitals, and events. I sign autographs for fans as well as speak to students and the local children about my life story and about making positive life choices. The reason I like to speak to kids is because growing up I never had someone who was a professional athlete give me advice. It feels good to give back to the community I grew up in as well as others around it.

The beliefs, values, and lessons that I’ve acquired through education, experiences, and work related duties have equipped me with transferable skills that would be beneficial to any company. I posses the basic skills needed to be a professional at the highest level in any workforce. I look forward to hearing from you regarding my future employment. Feel free to contact me at acryzl@r.postjobfree.com. The time taken to view my resume is deeply appreciated.

Sincerely,

Michael Campbell
