IT Business Analyst
Led Business Analysis function for Regional Project Management Office for ten years, eliciting, and assisting users in defining and prioritizing, Business Requirements. Performed requirements analysis and created Business Requirements Documents in alignment with the BABOK®. Also provided Project Management, and worked with IT developers to define technical requirements.
Designed and project managed the development of an in-truck mobile technical service solution replacing push-to-talk style field communications with a GUI-based application connected to back-end billing and provisioning systems using wireless communications. Implemented application server on Red Hat Enterprise Linux/IBM WebSphere platform and project managed custom development of application software through a 3rd party developer. This resulted in more efficient dispatching through the automation of tech check-ins and system-enforced verification of completeness of repairs (“whole-house check”), increasing Technician efficiency and reducing repeat calls.
Designed and project managed an Enterprise Workflow Automation system serving 50,000 users nationwide, moving inefficient paper processes to electronic forms, reducing cycle times by 50% to 75% over the previous processes while enforcing business rules and data entry accuracy and providing tracking and performance statistics. Elicited and managed requirements and designed GUI screens. Deployed more than thirty workflow applications using an iterative SDLC approach.
