Developed and managed department and financial transactions, and monitored sales records for performance indicators. My department led sales 8 out of 12 times; I received Sales Manager of the Year 6 times during my 8 year tenure. Welding Instructor

Provided instruction in the fundamentals of welding including theory and application for

Oxy/Acetylene welding, ARC welding, and MIG welding. Developed innovative evaluation strategies to accommodate new instructional techniques, hands on training, revised and re-wrote lesson materials, and provided validated courses consistent with American Welding Society standards for certification testing. 91% of my students completed the course, and 98% of those students passed the certification on their first attempt.

US ARMY, Aberdeen, MD 1973– 1987

Master Instructor

Non Commissioned Officer in Charge of professional development supervising 168 Instructors of Heavy Mechanical Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance, Machinist and Welders located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds Maryland. Evaluated instructor performance and counseled them to achieve continued progress in the professional development program. Reviewed and revised lesson plans, validated training materials, and updated lesson plans covering TM's (Training Manuals) and materials cover topics such as vehicle and heavy equipment body and mechanical repairs, reading blue prints and shop drawings, and working in the machine shop. Assisted with training, hands on training and development of 1500 Army, Air Force, Marine, National Guard, and Foreign Exchange Soldiers, per year. NCOIC of a General Support Service Section including Motor Pool, Recovery Section, and Canvas Repair. My status as an Master Instructor associates me with an Elite group of instructors of The U.S Army’s Ordnance Center and School since there have only been 52 Instructors to reach this epitome level position in the history of the school thus far.
