PROFILE

I would like to apply my experience in technology, special education and reading towards a Technology /Special Ed position in either teaching, consulting, or sales. My teaching experience and education has prepared me to teach effectively preparing students with the 21st Century skills necessary to succeed in life.

Technology Teacher, Public School 112, Long Island City, New York October 2007- -September 2014

I am currently the Technology Teacher for grades K-5. My duties include teaching basic computer skills

incorporating Microsoft word, power point and excel into project based lessons. All curriculum areas are

infused into computer projects as well. I am also in charge of the purchase and maintenance of all

technological equipment. I also supervise an intern from the C.U.N.Y. Technology Work Program. I also

conduct workshops for staff on a variety of subjects including smart board, and web 3.0 skills. I also maintain

the school webpage as well as published a quarterly technology newsletter for the teachers. I was also the videographer for the school.

Special Education Teacher, Public School 84, Brooklyn New York October 1988- September 2007

I was a teacher in a self contained classroom for special needs students who were learning disabled and

emotionally handicapped. I taught grades kindergarten through sixth grade. Teaching duties included writing and implementing I.E.P.s. I also taught The Wilson Reading Method. I also provided SETTS services to students in per session hours.

I was a teacher in a self contained classroom for a class of 12 learning disabled and emotional handicapped

in the kindergarten, first and second grade. Duties included writing and implementing I.E.Ps.

Teaching duties included teaching skills in education and health as well as social and emotional development

to 19 three year olds. I supervised an assistant teacher as well as a student intern. I also helped write and
