Technology Support: Senior Tech Analyst / Assist. Vice President

Daily duties include: Capital Markets Origination / Investment Banking / Global Markets

Supported 200+ servers and 600+ Capital Markets clients located on the trading floor. Responsible for all technology requests, new product testing and tracking audit compliance. Worked seamlessly with Business Managers to meet Service Level Agreements.

Daily duties included:

Recommending technical solutions to complex business projects and coordinating the implementation of the approved course of action.

Actively discussing outstanding issues with engineers and help desk analysts and recommending resolutions.

Maintaining servers via health report software, to ensure they were fully functional and patches were up to date. Monitored and ensured NetBackup was running across all servers and NAS devices.

Performed Risk Management by monitoring Audit Logs of my team’s day to day tasks and ensured all work had been justified to meet company policy.

Notable Projects include:

Introduced, documented and deployed Reuter-Kobra 3000 to the firm. The application is now being used on global level.

Managed Win7 rollout, which led to the overall reduction of help desk calls by 10 percent.

Supervised Semi-Annual Disaster Recovery tests, partnering with business to ensure data/application integrity and availability across multiple remote sites.

Worked closely with Business Unit Managers on Client Entitlement reviews process. Entitlements were handled on quarterly basis, helping to reduce Data and Application costs by 5%.

Supervised 150 user migration to different location. Move was completed in one day with minimal interruption.

Investment Banking Technology Support: Project Leader

Managed project to rebuild 1800 workstations from Windows OS (XP) to Windows NT.

Coordinated upgrade of desktops/laptops from Windows NT to 2000, Office 97 to Office 2000, and Exchange 5.0 to Outlook 2000. Project completed with minimal interruption.

Reduced I.T. response time by using VNC software to remote connect to user’s PC and troubleshoot software problems.
