Responsibilities:
- Lead engineer: New product development for two major products: FMG1000, FML250 taking product requirements and translating them into technical requirements including all aspects of development as well as project management
- Managed CSA testing to industrial standards.
- Develop hardware and software for products utilizing C/C++ object oriented software
(OOP) and Software Design Life Cycle (SDLC) design practices. Comment to code ratio over 35%
- Often travelled to customer jobsites for needs analysis for integration into products
- Integrate MS Office applications into production to automatically capture calibration, configuration, and test data from the manufacturing process
- Document all design stages and compile test data for reports and presentations
- Maintained project Gantt charts and monitored and trended data on products, manufacturing processes, and engineering tests
Senior Computer Design Engineer 7/2009 to 8/2010
Mark Hastings, Director R/D 864-***-****
Itron (http://itron.com)
313 N Highway 11, West Union, SC 29696
Responsibilities:
-Design: Update software to enable meter recovery from fatal error. This firmware allowed the processor and RTOS a clean reboot with no loss of data and full recovery to normal operating modes.
-Production Software Build/Quality Integration: Build responsibilities for release builds as well as software quality integration (static code analysis and software configuration management using Perforce and Coverity)
-Engineering Support: Take core dumps from fatally errored meters and determined root cause analysis on their fatal error state. This included analyzing the multithreaded RTOS threads and reconstruct the call stack to determine the exact cause. Findings were then given to the development group (where I moved to after 6 weeks) for repair.
