Worked in the Consulting and Integration Data Center group for the tri-state area professional services as a full time position as a Senior Consultant. This role was to work with the clients in understanding their business requirements and design / implementing best practice solutions. I worked closely with the clients in several verticals Financial, Legal, Heath Care interfacing directly with the C level and business owners down to IT managers and System Administrators. I was hands on with the design and implementation as well as all aspects of the projects such as from hardware / software installs to the advanced configuration of replication and business continuity. All hybrid cloud implementations were a cross between internal and external IaaS, PaaS designs.

Contract position. I was brought in to design and implement their new business continuance “DR” strategy between Parsippany NJ and Sterling VA Colocation with NTT. This design was based upon VMware 5.5 infrastructure utilizing VMWare SRM an existing EMC VNX SAN in NJ and a new VNX at NTT. Key requirements were to run production for all tier 1 and tier 2 applications out of either location with bi-direction fail over. Key Technologies used were VMware SRM “Site Recovery Manager” utilizing, EMC Recover Point, VMware Replicator, and diskless servers and or 3rd party software.

Headed the Exchange 2000 design and roll-out, requiring LDAP synchronization with the pre-existing Windows 2000 AD environment and Exchange 2000 infrastructure of One Beacon. I was also involved in planning of the organization’s future infrastructure.

Full time position with Commerzbank, North America. My responsibilities included designing and building the back end systems to support the needs of the banks functions. I was to bring in and developed leading edge technology to provide the best advantages it can offer. The user population consisted of 600 in-house users plus 100 uses in other branches in North American region. I carefully looked at every aspect of all projects from a networking perspective, hardware options and software
possibilities to provide the complete solution. Some of my projects were:
Windows 2000 migration provided the benefits of active directory for security and ease of policy administration, as well as LDAP database for the VMS and Unix systems to use for centralized authentication
A fully redundant platform for Exchange 2000, SQL 2000, and other core back office systems on Microsoft Data Center technology, utilizing the benefits of multiple virtual servers on a 4 node active/active stretched cluster
EMC Symmetrix was implemented for the centralized file storage and replication needs for the stretched cluster configuration from the data center in NYC to the disaster recovery location in Rye NY
Diskless server configurations that tided into the monitoring systems was set up to take automated actions when problems and tied in with a tiered level of notifications of escalation and de-escalation
Virtual Servers using VMware GSX server were pioneered for the Commerzbank environment under my lead to decrease the overall foot print of the Windows-based environment and ease business continuance
