This was a regulatory project introduced which implemented new features for the customers benefit, i.e. the customer can now raise a dispute for any transaction up to prior 6 cycles.

Earlier even though the customer could raise a dispute for any transactions up to 6 cycles, only the disputed amount would be refunded later. But say if any dispute happened 3 cycles prior and after deducting the disputed amount the account would have been prevented from being over limit or interest charges applied on the account would have been less. Earlier this wasn’t taken into consideration but only the disputed amount was returned. Now after regulatory project PSR-61, all the interest charged would be refunded to the customer unlike earlier where it was according to the Bank’s decision.

As part of new enhancements introduced, customers were to be alerted for all major transactions happening on the account. Earlier customers could not be alerted about bill payment date, transaction alert, over limit alert, spend limit alert etc., which resulted in customers missing their payment dates and being unaware of being over limit for instance. The project MCM Alerts was developed to enable the customer to receive alerts (E.g.:- statements) through emails, phone or both of them.

The alerts would make the customer more aware and user friendly with the card application.
