Earlier even though the customer could raise a dispute for any transactions up to 6 cycles, only the disputed amount would be refunded later. But say if any dispute happened 3 cycles prior and after deducting the disputed amount the account would have been prevented from being over limit or interest charges applied on the account would have been less. Now after regulatory project PSR-61, all the interest charged would be refunded to the customer unlike earlier where it was according to the Bank’s decision.
