I worked on SC Medical project in the QA department at The University of Clemson. My duties were to evaluate in detail all stages of development and enhancement Quality Assurance of Medicare and Medicaid Systems. On an evaluation any faults and non University QA standards are reported with suggestions for the developer.
The program structure design was tested from top down.
The test plans were developed according to top down program structure
The programs codes written in COBOL, EASYTRIVE or IDMS were tested as black box.
Test cases developed on base of the layout of screens and reports with steps down detail on database table structure level
JCL for each jobs were also evaluated (including any PROC)
Also involved in correcting errors of program structured design, program specification, code and JCL (PROC). I have involved in coding and testing batch COBOL programs.
