Assist tooling department as needed with SolidWorks and Logo Press related work items.
Create and update 3D Models, assemblies, renderings, Manufacturing drawings and BOM’s using SolidWorks
Review current tooling procedures and recommend improvements.
Develop cost estimates for sheet metal, progressive stamping, four slide, sprigs and assemblies.
Assist in the quick Die Changes programs, which will include measurement of all machines
Assist with customer related products including prototypes and design concepts
Process Engineering Changes Notices (ECN)’s
Develop routers and bill of materials with engineering team
Review manufacturing processes and identify inefficiencies
Process New Products Introductions (NPI)’s
Implement Word-Class-Manufacturing (TQM, JIM, 5S, Kanban)
Review work Order upon completion and investigate variances to standards estimated
Identify and recommend improvements to current manufacturing practices, material flow, manufacturing technics and ergonomics.
Help improve up time of production machines plant wide
Visit Mexico facility on occasion for process improvement projects (Usually 1-2 time per week)
Write procedures and work instructions to document all Manufacturing processes
Work with Outside Process Suppliers on engineering related problems or rejections
Initiate cost reduction programs and track scrap and rework costs
