Managed maintenance department with 5 mechanics and one supervisor for over 15 years. Implemented MP2and EAM preventive maintenance management and work order system.

Championed the organization and implementation of Process Safety Management, including facilitating over 20 Process Hazard Analyses.

Created and managed corporate utility management program for multi-facility overview of power, lighting, natural gas, nitrogen, and water usage.

Optimized burner controls of several thermal oxidizer to improve destruction efficiency and improved heat recovery while decreasing natural gas usage.

Designed and installed PLC control system starting with 1 processor and adding 5 others. Migrated 2nd generation HMI controls, data historian, event recorder, and tank status programs.

Environmental Process Engineer (1991-1993)

Completed state and federal air permits for Phillips polyethylene facility expansion including Best Available Control Technology analysis and air dispersion modeling of a 10,000 point receptor grid. This analysis involved conceptual design of emission control options, economic evaluation, and presentation to regulatory officials.

Developed process design packages, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications for six refinery environmental projects, including waste-water treatment, stormwater segregation, and treatment of contaminated cooling water.

Process Research Engineer (1990-1991)

Conducted experiments with differing feedstocks and inhibitors to increase ethylene pyrolysis process up-time by a factor of 10.
