Evaluated tracking methods and electromechanical systems for efficient solar tracking.

Designed and assessed feasibility of the mechanism using SolidWorks Simulation.

Thesis project towards the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering October 2013 – August 2015

Used SolidWorks to design a meter tall Humanoid Robot, modelled after a 6 year old infant.

Constructed two arm prototypes using smart servos, sensors, aluminum frame and a 3D printed plastic shell.

Programmed the arm prototypes for full functionality and collision avoidance using IR sensors.

A novel biomimetic hip and knee structure was designed in SolidWorks for the humanoid.

Design and Development of a 3D Printed Dexterous Prosthetic Hand

Used SolidWorks to design and analyze the first version of an anthropomorphic robot hand at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.

The hand resembled an adult human’s hand, with 14 nano servos contained within a 3D printed ABS plastic frame.

An optimal control strategy was derived using Genetic Algorithm techniques in Matlab for efficient control of VAV air-conditioning units.
