2011– Jan 2015 Construction Manager, Syncrude Canada Ltd., FFT-CFS Project
Participated with the project team for one year in the engineering house supporting project development, constructability, and schedule and estimate development.
Develop and implement construction practices, standards and planning processes for the project, as well as, provide direction and advice on construction matters.
Ensure construction activities are taking place in accordance with the project execution plan.
Participate in all review, such as, constructability and construction risk assessments.
Provide support for detailed planning and day-to-day project guidance of all field activities.

Led a construction team on a successful re-build of five fire damaged Electro Static Precipitators.
Executed 1.5 million work-hours on the re-build without a recordable injury and successfully closed out the project under budget and on schedule.
Served on the Upgrader Expansion One (UE1) project as a Contractor Coordinator and Mechanical Lead.
Led and worked as part of a collaborative team of both owners representatives and contracted construction professionals, also worked to support the field engineering staff with relation to their specific tasks.
Performed constructability reviews and risk assessments.
Reviewed and approved contractor cost estimates and provided input into scheduling.
Monitored safety compliance, schedules, costs and quality.
Represented client in ensuring contractors met project deliverables and milestones in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Filled the roles of Journeyman, Foreman, General Foreman, Field Safety and Supervision as demand dictated.

Served my apprenticeship and worked as a Journeyman Mechanical Fitter with the Electricity Supply Board in Ireland.
