I have worked for Entergy Corp. as a contractor, employee, and contractor since 10-10-1994. I started working for Entergy as a contractor employed by Manpower for 2 years. Entergy then hired me as an employee for 3.5 years. 01-01-2000 Entergy deployed their entire IT department to SAIC and contracted them back. 09-2013 SAIC split into 2 companies, the Entergy contract went to Leidos which is where I migrated to next.

Positions: 9 years as Desktop Support, to Sir Desktop Support. 9 years as Noc Tech to Noc Lead/Manager. 2 Years with Data Security.

09-2013 to Present, Data Security Technician

Currently working with Microsoft Active Directory, Apps Admin, AM/FM security, and DIS Security applications to grant or remove rights for all IDs and most applications.

During this period I also work with the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Engineer to run reports and scan data for offences.

I harden security on Windows Servers.

I issue and remove rights and roles in Peoplesoft for all financial and HR requirements.

Using BMC Enterprise Identity Manager Suite, I create/remove ID’s, add/remove rights & roles, and add resources for over 100 applications used throughout the company.

07-18-2005 to 09-2013, NOC Technician, NOC Lead-Supervisor, Change Manager, Problem Manager

The NOC monitored all of Entergy’s IT systems from servers, routers, proxies, firewalls, ups to radio towers, microwave links, telephone systems and so on. When an event met a certain thresh hold a NOC Tech would manage the problem to completion by contacting support teams, hosting conference calls and sending out management alerts.

During this period Entergy’s headquarters, 90% of all servers, the mainframe, and 80% of all applications were hosted out of New Orleans and then Hurricane Katrina hit. The NOC mobilized to Arkansas, I was part of a team that brought Entergy back on line.

During this period I was Entergy’s only Change Manager for 2 years.

During this period I moved the SAIC NOC for Entergy to the BOA to become SAIC’s NSOC. I setup all workstations, monitors, and monitors tools.

During this period SAIC picked up other contracts and I was account lead for Marathon Oil, Shell Oil, Telcordia, iPass as examples.

During this period I was the NOC Lead/Supervisor and was over 8 to 10 people supporting up to 14 contracts.

10/10/1994 to 04-28-2005, Systems Analyst/Desktop support/Server support/LAN Support

Worked my way from a new hirer to Senior Tech. Supported PCs, Laptops, Windows servers, Switches, printers, new OS roll outs, new Computer roll outs, support most apps, supported most of Entergy’s PC automation.

During this period I: created 2 server rooms at 2 remote sites. Created a Storage/Lab area at a data center. Brought Ghost into the company to speed up one of the PC/OS roll out that was used company wide. Worked with Entergy to help the FBI during an investigation. Supported SAIC’s PMO office in New Orleans. Part of a team to move 300 PCs from 1 office building to another.
