System Programmer Analyst for a Major Consulting Firm ( Shapphire Technologies, Parsippany, New Jersey 5/2006 to 3/2007)

PROJECTS: Verizon Wireless - 5/06 - 3/2007

Solely responsible for the development of a Reactivation system written in C++ Windows environment/MFC. This system will restore the customer to the exact same service he availed before disconnecting, which involves restoring customer’s MTN, his previous price plan and features etc. Implementation of an automated reactivate option would reduce AHT and duplicate bill scenario, thereby increasing customer satisfaction.

Solely responsible for the enhancement of the Disconnect system where Customers on “postpaid” bill in advance accounts prepay their monthly access fee. When a customer voluntarily disconnects their account in Vision/I2K the customer’s final bill runs on the next available billing cycle. Upon deactivation, there is often an “unused” portion of the prepaid access that must be prorated and refunded to the customer. Allowing a deactivated customers’ final bill to run on their regular billing cycle and terminate at the end of that cycle, will eliminate the need to credit and potentially refund the unused portion of prepaid access. In 2005, we have averaged approximately 140,000 monthly refund checks to customers totaling approximately $8.8 million per month. Change would result in an estimated 80% decrease in such refunds, which would represent increased access revenue and reduced check-processing expense

System Programmer Analyst For a Major Consulting Firm ( Fujitsu Consulting, Edison, New Jersey 4/1994 to 10/2005)

PROJECTS: UPS - 9/98 - 10/2005

Solely responsible for the development of a Core System written in C++ Windows environment/MFC to improve the overall quality and “time to market” of Operation Portfolio application. This was achieved by properly factoring the applications based business functionality, minimizing redundancy, increasing consistency, and improving inter-team communication.

Solely responsible for the development of the ACSI interface written in C/C++on the AS400 environment/MFC. This Application Client Server Interface (ACSI) is a multi-protocol, multi-platform communication application that allows application programs to move data within a heterogeneous computing environment. ACSI is used by applications to transmit data out of UPS buildings The UPS Package Operation Environment mostly uses ACSI to transmit various scan events to the Mainframe Package Tracking System.

Solely responsible for the redesigned of the E2DC System written in C++/Windows environment/MFC. This system provides package exception data to the UPS Global Exception Package Level Detail (XPLD) repository, which is used to produce customer billing records. The database management systems used by these external systems constrain the type of persisted information.

Solely responsible for the development of the E2DC application written in C++/AS400/Windows environments that allows users to enter information using international characters with ASCII values greater than 126. This system stores this information for local access, but converts the ASCII values to the closest equivalent US-ASCII value before transferring data to XPLD.

Solely responsible for the redesign of the Domestic Key Entry System and Data correction functionality written in C++/Windows environment/MFC. This helps in correcting address information for a majority of the packages before they arrive at the facility, which in turn reduces the amount of keyentry needed at the site during Sort operations.
