2012- 8/2015 Maintenance Supervisor

Houston, Texas

Responsible for a multi-shift maintenance department, janitorial crew, outside contractors, quotes for new machinery, repairs, construction, parts, etc. Heavily involved in safety program, lean manufacturing, and autonomous care of the equipment. SAP for maintenance p.m.’s and assigning the right person to the right job. Working with the purchasing department to get the PO number and the correct cost. Coordinate machine riggers, transportation, and machine repair to minimize production down time. Work with upper management on projects that will enhance production, modify machinery and equipment with safety as the number one priority

2010 – 2012 Maintenance Supervisor

APL Logistics

Responsible for the maintenance department at this million square foot facility, the skilled trades in this union shop does all of the pm work on the machinery, repairs such as electrical, mechanical, air as well as hydraulics.

I am directly responsible for any outside contractors that may be required, get quotes for projects such as lawn care, HVAC, snow plowing, Etc.

Purchasing of machine parts, special tools and equipment.

Personnel issues such as interviewing, disciplinary action and the hiring of skilled trades personnel.

Responsible for the scheduling of overtime to support production departments, split shifts, e-time keeping (pay roll),

2002 - 2010 Maintenance Supervisor

Responsible for a 3 shift maintenance team and the purchasing of equipment component parts, tools, etc.

Also responsible for all eight (8) buildings and (2) two office complexes.

Interviewing and hiring of new maintenance personnel, along with all quarterly reviews.

Liaison with outside contractors, consultants, inspectors, as well as other department heads on maintenance issues and contracted projects.

This HVAC contractor was both commercial and residential service and installations, including apartment complexes, strip malls, hotels and new construction as well. Facility Managers would call me out for technical support or service when their maintenance dept. could not resolve issues with their HVAC equipment.

My responsibilities where managing the installation crews of between 2 and 4 techs (peak seasons 12 techs), on multiple projects at the same time on the same day. Making sure each person had the required equipment and tools.

I was given the opportunity to manage the service dept. of 6 service personnel, assigning the daily service calls, working on scheduling, weekends, holidays, etc.

Supervising techs that would need assistance on diagnosis of HVAC equipment or help on larger projects, compressor change outs. Inventory control on each vehicle for the service and installation crews was my responsibility as well.

Ordering HVAC equipment and parts to prepare for the upcoming season.
