WORK EXPERIENCE: Siemens Energy Systems, Inc. – (1989-2015) worked in many capacities including: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer [7 years], Supplier Quality Engineer [5 years], Quality Control Supervisor [8 years], and Production and Build Planning Shop Floor SAP Support Specialist [6 years]. Achievements during that time include: pro-active process improvement projects to improve customer delivery, problem solving with root cause/corrective/preventive actions in many areas, from suppliers to engineering issues to design and manufacturing procedural issues, worked on MRB, customer field issue resolution, customer problems, supplier audits, supplier scorecards, metrics for many areas, QMS and ISO procedure writing and training, organized gage calibration function as well as managing gage calibration budget and writing procedures required to meet ISO requirements. I have been involved in internal audits, completed ISO 14000 auditor training and am a member of ISO 14000 Board and Global Supplier Quality Board. I’ve supervised 25 inspectors in a 3 shift operation over full Mt. Vernon facility including union interaction. I have lead Kaizens, conducted 5S and 3 green belt projects.

Other Work Experience: (1976-1989) worked for Ford Aerospace as a Senior Industrial Engineer involved in getting 2 manufacturing plants up and running on Chaparral Project, including responsibility to manage budget, implement standards, routings, work instructions, plant layout and other traditional IE functions and as a Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Manager for Pfaudler (Division of BP) on projects including capital appropriations and justifications, problem solving and projects.

EDUCATION: BSIE (University of Toledo - 1976), completed of MBA courses (West Coast

University in Los Angeles - 1986), 40 hour Standards and Calibration Laboratories: Principals and Practices at George Washington University, ISO 14000 training course and certified internal auditor by DNV GL as well as many courses, workshops and continuous webinars regarding the latest technologies used in computers, geometric tolerances, quality procedures and related areas from The Ohio State University, SME, AQE and company sponsored learning opportunities.

HOBBIES: Recipient of the Dan Emmett Award given only twice to outstanding contributions to the entertainment and education of Knox County, chair many community projects including organizing and conducting the only year round Chautauqua Series in the United States to aid in education, entertainment and community building; sing at church and community functions, board member of Knox County Food for the Hungry and Dan Emmett Arts & Entertainment Festival as well as other boards and committees that support and enrich the community.
