Project Profile: The main role has been to support clients in development/extending GIS applications using ArcGIS Server APIs and ArcObjects. ArcGIS Server 10.0 is a product to expose our GIS data to the outside network and has been used in wide range of applications, starting from mapping to editing, querying and analyzing GIS datasets over the web. The requirement demanded me to have an extensive knowledge on Server API applications developed using ArcGIS JavaScript API/Flex API/Silverlight API to support high volume of support calls from our customers. I am fortunate to have this opportunity, as it helped me to understand the applications being developed using the GIS technology by helping out several customers of ESRI. In addition to providing Technical Support, I have been given an opportunity to provide training on ArcGIS Server 10.0 concepts, Web programming using different ArcGIS Server APIs –JavaScript/Flex/Silverlight, Developing customized web applications using ArcGIS Silverlight Viewer and ArcGIS Flex Viewer.

Project: Web & Data Application Development

Project Profile: Involved in developing and designing a web application with the Grants Global team at the University of Arizona office of Global Initiatives. The application is designed using HTML, jquery, Ajax, SQL, C#. The UI of the application is designed using the jquery and twitter bootstrap. Communication between the DOM with the server has been constructed using SQL and C#. The application is adaptive to mobile displays and works seamlessly on all the media platforms. The application provides access to detailed information on some of the existing grant programs in the form of case studies, team members responsible for securing the grants and contribution of the members. Users can also avail information on the individual team member’s portfolios. The purpose of the application is to work across the University and with external partners to create and act on international opportunities that build capacity, support student and faculty mobility, promote and enhance the grants mission. Also helping with the design of the following web application.
