1. Research Program in ZnO-Based Surface Acoustic Wave device at the Rutgers ECE Department.

2. Investigated the growth of new ZnO/GaN heterostructure-based tunable acousto-electronic devices.

3. The ZnO/GaN based tunable sensors can lengthen the SAW sensor lifetime by resetting the acoustic velocity by adjusting the operation of frequency of the device.

4. It demonstrated a high tunability of 1% operating at a frequency of 1.2GHz with low bias voltage.

5. Developed prototype device by fabricating this sensor will serve as the basic block for applications as biosensors, multi-channel filters.

PROJECTS:

“RF Integrated Circuit Design”

1. Built an Integrated Circuit RF Receiver for Medical Device Radio Communications using the low IF-Receiver architecture using the IBM7RF 0.18μm technology.

2. Low power of 1.57mW with a gain of 41.3 dB was achieved.

3. Designed the LNA of the receiver producing a gain of 19 dB and NF of 2.5 dB consuming 594μW of power.

4. Integrated LNA, VCO and the Mixer using Cadence.

“Transistor Circuit Design”

1. Designed single-stage and multi-stage BJT and MOSFET amplifiers using the Multisim simulator.

2. Extensively analyzed the frequency response of feedback amplifiers.

“Fabrication of MOS Capacitor”

1. Fabricated a MOS capacitor in the clean room of MERL (Microelectronics Research Laboratory - Rutgers) using the processing steps for capacitor manufacturing.

2. Simulated the capacitor using TSUPREM4.

“802.11a Trans-receiver System”

1. Implemented the complete transmitter receiver system using the 180nm technology at 100W with a supply of 1.8 V. It was designed using Cadence and Synopsys.

2. The RTL implementation was synthesized using Verilog for design and verification.

3. Designed the 32- bits MIPS processor of the system. It is a register-based architecture where the CPU uses registers to perform operations.

“Data Compression Algorithm”

1. Performed detailed analysis of the Huffman Coding, Arithmetic Coding and LZW algorithms for data compression using C++.

2. Comparative analysis of algorithms used for data compression in data centers.
