I am working with NTL Electronics India Limited for past 1 year and 9 months. I have been involved in complete project life cycle which involves requirements gathering, project planning, design requirements as per client and market demand, development, validation and testing of LED based products as per IEC and BIS standards.

Design Process
Start with receiving either a concept from client or requirement part of market demand along with basic information such as product shape, light output, potential beam angle, color temperature etc.
Development Process
This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and development of product.
Product Requirement Consideration
Including Applications, LED Color, Light Output, Optics, IP Rating & Environmental, Product Coating, Product Material, Target Market and Required Approvals, Drive Current, Drivers& Control Systems, PCB Design and Target Efficiency.
Verification and Approvals
Review of 3D design verification of Product. Once, The designed has been fulfilled. Then passes to the approval process.
Prototype and approval
A prototype stage to seek further approval or use the general prototype for regulatory approval processes such as Driver specs, EMC testing, surge protection or photometric analysis.
Testing and Measurements
Standardized testing as per IEC/IS/EN/CISPR15 standards. which includes Safety, Performance, EMI\EMC and Reliability.
Validation of product
Maintenance of validation processes in accordance with ISO15111 (part1&2) requirements. using instruments such as HB5A,HB6B,Yokogawa, Surge generator etc.
Development and Testing reports as per S.O.P
Prepare Technical documents based on specification and related to design and development.
Pre-production and Testing
Pilot production small batch run of product to ensure about the achieved parameters of LED product.

1.8W Residential Bulb.
Specifications: An EMC Complaint Retrofit Bulb With 88% Efficiency, High Power Factor (0.93) and Total Harmonic Distortion of <25% designed to work in Voltage Range 110-350Vac with Surge Level 3.75KV.
2.40W Street Light.
Specifications: An EMC Complaint Street Light with Standalone Driver working on fly back topology With 90% Efficiency, High Power Factor(0.98) and Total Harmonic Distortion of <10% designed to work in Voltage Range 110-350Vac with Surge Level 5KV.
3.M & V Application for 7W EESL Bulb
Specifications: Application fitted inside the retrofit bulb which can communicate and send Bulb’s Power Consumption to the Server at the User End
4.Intelligent Street Lightning System for EESL.
Specifications: Application fitted Along with the Standalone Driver which can Measure Input Voltage and Current, Output Voltage and current, Power factor, Detect Glass Temper and control On/Off and Dimming of the Street Light from the Server at the User End (Through GPRS).

ROLE AND RESPONSBILITY.

Involvement in design and development of LED based LED lightning products like LED bulb, street light, LED down lights, LED tube lights etc.
Developing the schematics of different circuits & analyzing them.
Worked on different power convertor topologies such as DC-DC and AC-AC Convertor topology i.e. Buck, Boost, Fly Back, Forward and Half Bridge topology.
Release of product documentation including BOM & Specification list etc.
Measurement & Testing of reference sample of lightning products.
Involvement to evaluate and release Alternate component, sources and design for cost reduction.
Validations of product as per BIS, IEC and customer requirement.
Analysis and solution of problem faces in manufacturing.
Analyze field problem and to take corrective actions.
