I am writing to you in regards to applying for a position with your administration that has recently come to my attention. Over a broad spectrum covering over twelve (12) years, I have specialized in systems analysis and design as well as designing information systems, in respect to data loss prevention, data integrity, and the customization of information systems and information security. In my current employment as CEO of Bolton IT Security, in addition to being an Adjunct Professor of Information Systems and Telecommunications, I have assisted the production, engineering, logistics, and maintenance departments with various analyses regarding process improvements in an array of service provisions for students and professionals. I believe my expertise in information technology and engineering will be a crucial addition to your administration.
I understand that this position requires several key skills. My working experience has primarily been based around engineering network security systems with supervisory control and data acquisitions, specifically regarding Intrusion Detection Systems. This has included a variety of security measures with statistical analyses with system, design, and engineering standards. My education background has been strongly rooted in designing customizations for networks, servers, routers and a broad application of hardware and software. I have also analyzed, designed, and implemented an accounting monitoring and organization system that allows an assessment of accrued revenue, accrued expenses, gain/loss analysis, and forecasting that is customizable for a variety of businesses.
Prior to that, during my employment with the Chief Information Office of the National Aeronautics Space Administration's (NASA) in 2007, I customized the full integration of their existing network infrastructure with a synchronized, multi-tiered monitoring system. The success of my monitoring system eventually led me to author a technical paper and a manual specifically tailored to the system's core functionality and feasibilities (under certain conditions.) I was later informed that my monitoring systems' core format had been utilized for other secure implementations across the broad spectrum of NASA's varied purview.
In the course of my thirteen (13) years in the fields of Information Technology and Engineering Technology, I have always striven to leave a positive mark on the people with whom I have worked with and the systems which I have worked on. From working in the public and private sector with Corning Incorporated, and Applied Professional Training, LLC, I have become more customer-oriented and proficient in greatly communicating technical information with non-technical people efficiently. In working with the government at the local and federal level, I have improved my own professional thumbprint as I assisted a wide range of network security contractors to improve their own core performances in their respective fields.
