Mine Operations Manager

Loufran Minerals and Development Corporation - Surigao del Norte Responsibilities

…… • Reports directly to the Project Manager and as part of the mine site leadership team, will focus on ensuring the quality output as expected in the mine operations contract between Frasec Ventures Corporation and Loufran.

• Directly manages the site operations including extraction, beneficiation and pre piling and shipping raw nickel limonite and saprolite.

Assists in the formulation of billing process and cost control measures.

• Ensures that the strategies of the company are linked to the contract of PGMC to FRASEC and FRASEC to LOUFRAN which main objective is to efficiently extract the nickel deposit though strip mining.

• Manages the contracts of LOUFRAN to its subcontractors and its equipment providers to monitor their capabilities based on written agreement.

• Assist the Project Manager in the formulation of strategies, mine management and mine opera- tions.

• Participates with other senior staffs to set Corporate Decisions and Corporate Goals. Accomplishments

Responsibilities

A.) Development

-Implements the Development Plan of ANC to efficiently strip the waste (limonite) through benches and exposing the high grade saprolite ore. Strategically lines up equipment to meet the expected results without compromising the total waste material movement. Develops safe road networks to shorten the haulage of materials. Applies engineering principles to every activity un- dertaken to maximize the utilization of equipment. Maintains the availability of waste dumps for a smooth hauling of waste. B.) Production

-Manages the implementation of daily target delivery of directly shipped saprolite ore to foreign vessels. Maintains the quality of material shipped at 1.8% nickel in coordination with the grade control of ANC through proper segregation of the ore by grade. Delivers a daily target of 15000 WMT of ore delivered to foreign vessel coming from the mine site or the pre-pile yard

Pre-Pile Yard Operations

-Manages the proper stock piling procedures to ensure the proper segregation of ore per grade. Maintains the availability of Stock Yards to maintain a smooth Pre Pile Yard Operations. Su- pervises the ore transfer of materials to stock piles or to barge.

Barging Operations

-Manages the receiving of ore to barge utilizing 1900– 2200 tonner barges. Constantly moni- tors the activities and ore transfer to foreign vessels to prevent demurrages and to keep the on time delivery and utilization of the lay times of foreign vessels.

Accomplishments

• Managed to lead local hired Muslim workforce in Languyan, Tawi-tawi where in most people do not have the required skill, experience and mindset in working in a highly systematized company. Applied the management principle of empowering to locals, removing the notion of discrimination between Christians and Muslims and patience made the significant difference to the leadership in the mine site.

• Significantly increased the ore production by planning and scheduling the shifting of work- force, applying supervisory reports to increase the sense of responsibility to supervisors and close monitoring. Skills Used

DRAW CONTROL AND SUBSIDENCE SUPERVISOR

PHILEX MINING CORPORATION - BENGUET, PHILIPPINES - May 2013 to June 2014 Responsibilities

• Formulates strategies for the safe ore extraction at the different ore sources to attain production goals in terms of tonnage and grade. This would include assignment of tonnage to be drawn from each of the ore sources, LHD requirements, identifying of appropriate dumping points, the need to conduct secondary blasting

(or fan hole cutting at the pillar robbing blocks), and establishing alternatives for ore extraction in case circuit/ s of the ore flow will be down.

• Ensures that the principles of Block Caving coincides with the mine operations especially the cave management and the extraction of ore.

• Monitors the status of ore flow circuits by continually coordinating with the Control Room and Production personnel. Immediately instructs the Draw Control Clerk and Technical Aides to adjust the draw orders at each mining block implementing the appropriate alternative draw order plan when an ore flow circuit is down.

• Gather actual production data such as tonnages and status per draw point as well as sampling information for short term production planning and long term production planning. Creates and adjusts the daily Draw Order based from the Life of Mine Plan, Production Plan and real- time draw point conditions.

• Formulates alternative draw order plans to achieve production goals during the breakdown of any of the ore flow circuits. These alternative plans should be constantly updated to correspond with the changing ore extraction rates at the different mining blocks.

• Conducts research and analyses from experiments and databases to improve the mine productivity in concern with draw control.

• Secures that the company’s Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Job Procedures are followed religiously and revise it from time to time.
