Senior BW Architect/Developer (2013 – Present)

Project: CVS Retail (two week assignment).

Used BEX reports from existing BW (retail) system to build high level conceptual data model. Conceptual data model will be used in initial phase to scrap BW and to build logical/physical data models in SAP HANA.

Project: Database certification, Client: MicroStrategy (three month assignment).

Migrated SAP/BW objects (Infocubes, Infoobjects, Transformations, DTP's, queries, etc.…) from old SAP/BW (release 3.1, 3.5, 7.0, 7.3) systems into a new SAP/BW on HANA (Release 7.4) system which will provide access to the different data structures available for analysis (a.k.a InfoProviders, equivalent to Data Warehouse schema used in MicroStrategy projects) that will be exposed to MicroStrategy via MDX through the OLAP BAPI interface.

Exported Master (Attribute, Text, Hierarchy) and Transaction data via export generated datasources for all applications transported from SAP/BW source systems (release 3.1, 3.5, 7.0, 7.3) into the SAP/BW on HANA (Release 7.4) target system.

Implemented Business Warehouse Accelerator successfully in two months. Accelerated Infocubes in SD, MM, CO, AP and AR applications that increased query performance via BEX Analyzer by an average of 65%.

Implemented Business Objects Explorer (accelerated) in three months. Designed and developed Infospaces from accelerated Infocubes and query snapshots for SD, MM, CO, AP and AR applications.

Team lead in the development of a new worldwide reporting strategy for the Chemtura Corporation. The technology solutions for meeting numerous business decisions resulted in ABAP programming, use of Logistics Information Structures and SAP/BW. Involved in all aspects of the SAP/BW project, including gathering end user requirements, building custom cubes/queries, writing complex ABAP extract programs for various BW (Sales, Inventory, Profitability, Factory Performance, etc.) applications, data loading, data reconciliation and end user training.

Created queries/workbooks within the BW/BEX Browser, defined query jumps and build/maintained aggregates to improve query performance.

Applied ABAP code to customer user exits in both the source system to populate appended fields in datasource extract structures and in BW to change variable data during query execution time. Constructed transparent tables, table views, domains and data elements in the ECC, APO, CRM and BW systems.

Ensured data integrity by reconciling BW applications on a monthly basis.

Team lead in the replacement of the Sales and Marketing reporting system with the SAP/EIS (Executive Information System) module. Incorporated field level security in the SAP/EIS system for the sales personnel to review sales information pertaining to their respective territory.

Developed a PowerBuilder front-end, automated forecast tool (AFT) for the Adiprene/Vibrathane business to forecast and budget on volume for each of their products. This 32 bit application ran under windows 95/98/NT using SQLANYWHERE as a standalone database engine.
