RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

In the home health setting I performed physical therapy and wound care in homes and in the assisted living atmosphere. I have co-treated with OT on many occasions to achieve patients overall goals to improve ADLs. In the assisted living atmosphere I provided wound care for venous setaceous wounds to the lower extremities under the direction of a physician and a PT. I have performed transfers with use of a Hoyer Lift to bed ridden patients with paralysis or dementia. I have also trained patients in the use and care of home scooters and golf carts as their mode of transportation, again under the direction of a physician and the PT.

I belonged to the Mississippi Pain Society for over three years. Using techniques taught by Neurologist, Orthopedists, and Psychiatrist, I have been able to successfully treat neck and head pain, low back pain, and TMJ under the direction of the patients’ physician and a PT in an out-patient facility as well as in the home health setting.

I have treated various children with disabilities from age 5 – 12 in the school system under the direction of a PT. I have ordered positioning equipment, fitted wheel chairs, and ordered orthotics to help these children reach milestones.

I have performed aquatic therapy under the American Arthritis Foundation’s guidelines.

I have performed balance training to patients after stroke using NDT techniques with the supervising PT on several occasions to achieve return of function to the affected limb.

Certified in MPS (Micro current Point Stimulation). This Dolphin machine sends micro currents down neural pathways similarly to Acupuncture. It is billable as attended E-Stim.
