Consultation for clinical research studies: NPO monitoring study, a retrospective study on endoscopic therapy for tracheal stenosis, a prospective multi-center randomized clinical trial comparing early percutaneous dilational tracheostomy to delayed tracheostomy in critically ill patients, an immunonutrition study, a study on the effects of an infusion protocol on the delivery of enteral tube feeding, a retrospective medical record study on efficacy for treatment for reflux in relation to apnea in neonates, and a study on the use of enteral nutrition as a stress ulcer prophylactic agent (August-November 2010).

Biostatistician Center for Health Metrics

Principal responsibilities included providing statistical support to enhance market and company-wide data analysis and quality improvement studies.

•Provided statistical consultation to plan medical directors, quality management, and service staff in the design, evaluation, and analysis of quality improvement and clinical studies.

•Projects included measuring effects of clinical interventions using claims data, and statistical analysis and reporting of HEDIS performance and CAHPS survey measures. Responsible for HEDIS performance measure comparisons for commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid plans using previous year data and national benchmarks. Projects included market baseline reports used in the NCQA accreditation process.

•Research Project--Statistical methods for analysis of health expenditures. Researched topics in Quantile Ratio Estimation. Implemented a software tool using S-PLUS for estimates and graphics.
