C reated an efficient scheduling system in order to enhance patient waiting times and to create a balanced workload for the nurses throughout the day in the Oncology Center at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Collected data at various checkpoints (patient check-in time, doctor appointment time, lab turnaround time, pharmacy turnaround time, total chair time including pre-medications and chemotherapies, and discharge time) in order to come up with a chemotherapy scheduling protocol based on infusion times and various patient needs.
Analyzed the cost-effectiveness of dispensing medications as a unit-dose package at Holy Cross Hospital outpatient pharmacy.
