November 2014 – Present: Freedom Information Systems

Senior Software Test Engineer conduct Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), System and Functional testing on applications developed for the United States Secret Service. Responsibilities include development and execution of test cases, Impact Analysis Reports, Test Plans and Test Reports. Tools used Visual Studio Team Foundation (TFS) and Microsoft Test Manager.

November 2003 – July 4 2014: L3 Communications

June 2012 – Present: Senior Software Test Engineer and Test Lead for the Reserve Component Automation Systems (RCAS) Force Authorization Agile Scrum Team. Responsible for testing the seven FA web server applications (FTS, A&RWeb, MOBFF, FM, OA, RADPER, POS). Tested these applications on three releases consisting each of four sprints. Also the Software Test Lead/Test Scrum Master overseeing and developing the test procedures and practices for the other testers on the 10 Scrum teams. As the Software Test Lead/Test Scrum Master met weekly with the Government Quality Assurance Chief and counterparts to address status of testing efforts. Developed and produced release test artifacts such as Project Test Plan, Release Test Readiness Reports, MS Test Manager Reference Guide, and Project Test Strategy. The Test Strategy document was approved and accepted by the Government and being used to produce the Government’s Test and Evaluation Policy document. Participated in 2 courses (Introduction to Agile and Agile Engineering Principles) given by FWD Think Agile Coach.

December 2011 – June 2012: Software tester on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) US-VISIT Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) team. Responsibilities included: Review of manual test cases and project documentation including Software Requirements Document, Requirements Traceability Matrix, System Design and Concept of Operations documents to create an overall encompassing regression suite that will test all critical paths of the IDENT and ADIS systems. Participate in the daily status meetings with the Government client and external contractor representatives during the IV&V test release cycles.

June 2011 – November 2011: Supported the L-3 STRATIS i2s Staffing Proposal Team. Cross-referenced and matrixed prospective personnel candidates with occupational billets to achieve 100% coverage of the i2s staffing requirements.

April 2008 – May 2011: Senior Test Engineer/Test Lead for several different releases on the US-VISIT program of the Department of Homeland Security. In addition to being Test Planner/Lead also provide Test Engineering support as necessary. Responsibilities included planning and overseeing all testing activities for each release, development of test schedules for each project ensuring testing was completed on schedule; provided test resource estimates to ensure staffing levels for each release were met; provided work assignments to personnel for each assigned release; coordinated test planning activities for the Product Application Test (PAT) and Product Integration Test (PIT) efforts; analysis of project scope by reviewing key documentation and providing comments/feedback to ensure testability as well as traceability of design and requirements; participation in the test working group and test strategy client meetings; assisted in the development/review of the PAT and PIT test cases and creation of the test plans for PAT and PIT. Also the Test Lead for the Smart Border Alliance (SBA) Automation Test Team. Responsibilities included managing the day-to-day activities of the Automation Test Team in building a comprehensive regression test suite for SBA and US-VISIT.

October 2007 to April 2008: Held and executed the responsibilities of two positions (SLS Product Test Manager and Force Authorization (FA) Test Lead on the Advanced Information Technology Services (AITS) Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS) FA Product Family. As the SLS Product Test Manager primary responsibilities included: Management of the daily activities of eight testers to ensure all scheduled deadlines for each release were successfully completed on time; conducted the daily test stand-up meetings with a diversified audience of Government and contractor managers; attended daily and weekly meetings briefing contractor and Government senior managers on the status of the testing activities; conducted the Test Readiness Review (TRR) and Checkpoint meetings for each release. Using Microsoft Project developed schedules detailing the test activities for each release.

January 2004 to October 2007: Test Lead for the RCAS FA Product Family. Primary responsibilities included: Testing the seven FA web and client/server applications for each test phase of the Software Life Cycle; test script development and execution for each of the applications per release; participation in peer reviews for the project documentation; chair peer reviews for test script validation; review and verification of the User Manuals for each FA application; coordination of testing tasks to ensure team members met all assigned deadlines. As Deputy SLS Test Manager, conducted daily test status meetings and oversee all the program testing activities in the Test Manager's absence.

November 2003 to December 2003: As Principal Software Test Engineer, for the Integrated Spectrum Auction System (ISAS) project, performed System and Acceptance Testing of the project’s seven web-based auction and bidding applications. Responsibilities included: development and execution of test cases and SQL scripts; use of SQL tools to perform data validation and database connectivity tests on the ISAS Sybase database; using PVCS Tracker to manage and track software defects; and maintenance of test matrices to capture and report test results. Interacted with database administrators and software developers to define and correct problems found during testing. Presented software defects at weekly status meetings and conducted the meetings in the Project Manager’s absence. Created, updated, and managed the Acceptance Test environment for the auction applications.

June 2003 – October 2003: Modis/Freddie Mac

As Test Lead Analyst, for the Risk Based Capital (RBC) project, responsibilities included the development and execution of test cases; development of test strategies and project plans for the RBC’s build and integration phases; and the coordination of the testing effort for the three build phases. Used Rational Clearcase for defect and issue tracking and Test Manager to create and manage test cases.

March 2000 – June 2003: Electronic Data Systems (EDS)

As Senior Tester, for the NASDAQ London International Financial Futures Exchange system, tested web-based and client/server components, developed all test documentation consisting of system test plans, test cases, test strategies, and test reports. Developed WinRunner scripts to automate several modules of the subsystem. Managed a ten member test team and monitored the testing activities using MS Project. Conducted and participated in System Testing and User/Production Acceptance Testing. For the project’s unit, integration, and system testing phases developed the testing standards, procedures, and processes.

May 29, 1999 – March 2000: New Boston Systems

As Senior Tester, for the NASDAQ Advanced Detection System tested ten software components, tested back-end server data extraction processes, and developed all test documentation consisting of system test plans, test cases, test strategies, and test reports.

April 1998 – February 4, 1999: Cost Management Systems (CMS)

As Senior Tester, for the FDIC MAAPCO project developed Software Requirements Specifications and Test Plan documents; tracked and maintained Software Problem Reports, and performed integration, regression, and IV & V testing of each release.. Developed Acceptance Test Plan; configured and implemented Intersolv PVCS Tracker for monitoring project software trouble reports and software changes. As Integration Test Manager for the FDIC Time

and Attendance System (TAPS), defined and established integration testing environment, test team, and project’s software configuration management (CM) practices and procedures. Supervised a ten member test team whose responsibilities included the testing of system builds throughout the various phases of the software life cycle. Coordinated the activities for integration testing, Software Quality Test (SQT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Drafted the Software Integration Test Plans.

October 1993 – April 1998: BTG, Inc.

As Test Director prepared schedules, coordinated activities and resources for internal and formal Government Witness Testing of project software. Coordinated the efforts between the Configuration Manager and Lead System Engineer to ensure status accounting of all software and Software Problem Reports. Attended Functional and Detail Design Reviews to brief client on testing activities. Coordinated the formal and informal testing activities and met with Software Lead Engineers and Senior Management to discuss the test results.

As Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead served as the liaison between the documentation team and software developers. Performed final Quality Assurance (QA) and document review of all deliverables ensuring that all government requirements were correctly met and that documents adhered to DoD standards. Scheduled and supervised deliverables from conception to delivery. Performed IV&V testing on prototype systems.

As Documentation/Data Manager supervised an eight member team, defined project’s processes and functions for QA and document reviews. As Senior Technical Writer developed technical documentation and marketing support materials, including users’ manuals, product and service proposals, and presentations. August 1991 - October 1993: Telemarc, Inc.

As Senior Systems Engineer, provided software and hardware systems analysis support to configure and maintain UNIX and IBM PC compatible hardware and software. Developed several applications written in C++. Supervised and provided the ADP technical support for JOPES Automated Management System (JAMS) that included software installation of Oracle, HP-UX, Artemis I/CSCS and Prestige; configuration of all workstations; and database/system administration support on UNIX and Novell fileservers.
