Chief Estimator and Director of Operations
Managed multiple Airfield Project Contracts with both in-house and field staff ranging from $1M to $50M. Worked with clients to determine the project parameters and creation of a solution that meets both budgetary and process constraints. Responsible for marketing Airfield Construction Services. Developed cost estimates for the removal of pre-existing Rubber build ups, removal of pre-existing painted Airfield surfaces, new Airfield Pavement Marking Installations, new Airfield Electrical System installations and installation of new Airfield Signage structures. I was responsible for overseeing job selection, estimating (especially recognition of risk and reward potential), scheduling, coordination organizational hiring, forecasting equipment selection, and reporting of all accounting functions.
Bid/RFQ/RFP Submittals for complete Airfield layouts and new marking installations of Runways, Taxiways and Aprons. Managed Additional Airfield Construction Services from maintenance projects to extensive new construction installations including Survey, Layout, installation of Airfield Markings, Electrical, Concrete (Pavement & Structures), Asphalt Pavement, Airfield Signage and in pavement Airfield Lighting systems. Airfield Construction market ranged from small General Contractor groups to multi state Airport Authorities (Eight U.S. Southeast States). Identification of issues and recommendation of alternate solutions that would achieve the same end result either more economically or more efficiently with field construction practices.
