Eastern Alliance Insurance Group: Developed sound and cost-effective solutions to reduce and/or eliminate risk from clients’ operations. Held Ergonomics Train the Trainer 3-day classes for partner insurance companies’ Loss Prevention and Risk Management personnel.

Armstrong World Industries, Inc.: Developed an Ergonomic Process that was implemented globally. This initiative im- pacted approximately 16,000 employees throughout all 57 locations worldwide. Traveled within the US and abroad to as- semble Ergonomics Teams at each location and launch the Ergonomics Process (US, Europe, Asia). Facilitated 29% re- duction in Ergonomics injuries/illnesses which impacted Workers’ Compensation cost in US facilities (from 8MM dollars to 3MM dollars in a 3-year period). Assisted in the revision and/or development and implementation of Corporate-wide Oc- cupational Health and Safety policies and procedures, to include Industrial Hygiene monitoring guidelines. Benchmarked with other companies to facilitate Armstrong’s implementation and development of their Avian Flu Response Plan. Assist- ed in increasing employee awareness around Wellness through Small Steps contests, monthly lunch & learn sessions, employee health fairs, etc.

Kimberly-Clark Corporation: Was instrumental in reducing recordable cases (78% injury reduction and 100% illness reduction). Aggressively managed workers’ compensation claims. Initiated the development and implementation of the corporation’s safety and loss control management system at the Fort Worth/ Border facilities and Arkansas’ as well as other locations within the company (Thailand, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Canada). Successfully implemented ergonomic improvements to include equipment improvements, cross training & rotation, a warm-up exercise program. Was the champion in ergonomic efforts at the division level which included: Ergonomic Team Charter, Process for making ergonomic recommendations, setting up Ergonomic Teams and their training, leading ergonomic awareness training initia- tives, integrating ergonomic risk identification and control into the design of equipment through a Design Safety Review Procedure and Machine Change Procedure, etc. Hosted a 1-week long Emergency Preparedness Conference for all US locations’ Fire Chiefs.

The HUACA Group: Translated ITT Industries’ Corporate EHS Policies and Procedures Manual to Spanish for use in Latin America and Spain.

ITT Automotive: Reduced Workers’ Compensation cost from $340K to $10K in 3 years, through the implementation and development of policies and procedures, aggressive claim management, improved ergonomic work practices (i.e. cross training and rotation). Assisted other facilities in their EHS activities through 1-week audits and subsequent recommenda- tions.
