As Mine Manager (Soapstone Mines)

Currently I have been working under the capacity of Mine Manager in Irshad Mining Corporation. I have been assigned the duties of managing the underground activities. Under this capacity I have worked on various technical and managerial aspects of the project, such as:

Feasibility surveys of the underground mine sites in adherence to the requirements of geological, structural and mining designs.

Underground structures and mine design.

Mine support system, underground directions.

Supervising day to day operations and production estimations.

Completing the record for departmental inspection.

Preparation of plans for quality control.

Inspection visits to the mines on weekly basis or in case of unforeseen conditions.

Review of cash flow estimates and mining plan/schedules.

Dec 2012 – Nov 2013: I have worked as a site engineer in Aurangzeb Khan Jadoon Mining Corporation under appointment of Directorate General of Mines & Minerals Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Here I supervised and managed the day to day Mining operations along with labor and production. I have worked on surface as well as underground mining. I have designed underground mines. Surface operations, Production estimation, auto workshop and billing of the completed works were also the parts of my duty.

As an Internee

July 2011 – Sep 2011

I have worked as an internee in Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation Khewra Salt Mines. During this training I have learnt about Mining surveying, Mine ventilation and methods of underground working, haulage and transportation system. I have also learnt about Mine machinery, safety and stability and mine management. I have learnt how to execute the work as per required standards and specifications.

As an Internee

July 2010 – August 2010: I have worked as an internee in Bestway Cement Limited Farooqia.During this training session I have learnt about drilling, Blasting, Bed development, propagation of haulage roads, machinery and equipment. I have also learnt about methods of surface working, quarrying, Haulage and transportation. I have also got knowledge about quarry management and supervision.

Final Year Project:

My final year project was “Design and Development of Mine Management System” under supervision of Prof. Dr. Safi Ur Rehman. An application of open source ERP system and mobile application, using ERP software, Internet technologies and GNSS. This management system comprises remote machinery monitoring, positioning and status information of machinery and labor, report back system and their automatic updates along with control, supervision, production estimates and marketing.
