Resume:

Dear HR Recruiter,

My name is Kjell Erwin Strande. I have sent to you my resume in response to your employment needs based on the requirements your company has posted in the hopes of securing this position with your company. My resume contains my educational background, a job abstract and past work experiences.

My past work experience illustrates a variety of Engineering related Drafting/Design and Technical credentials, having worked in and at various stages of the engineering discipline since 1973. I also have strong math skills and can work in both the English and Metric measuring systems, able to convert between one system to the other.

I’m a graduate of the County College of Morris (CCM - 2004) earning an Associate’s Applied Science (AAS) degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) while simultaneously earning a Certificate in Computer-Aided Drafting Technology. I’m also a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT - 2007) - there having earned a Bachelor of Science degree, also in MET. I did quite well in both schools as my resume illustrates.

Not immediately seen on my resume, however, are my years of college education where a lot of training is done in order to prepare for a position like this such as when I learned to use Pro-E, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Powerpoint. Even class training requires a certain aptitude to learn for any particular course - and I did very well at school in all my courses.

There is, however, no real way of knowing whether or not I'm qualified for this particular job based on your company’s short job description excerpts as compared to my actual educational and work practice, though I feel that my education, skills and experience are a good fit for this position based on what I read. I feel given my background, along with my hard earned education, that, as your employee, I can be a valuable asset to your companies posted job requirement needs.

Please feel free to contact me to arrange an interview, and I hope to hear from you concerning my inquiry. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to learning more about this job opportunity.

Sincerely,

Kjell E. Strande
