NREL S809 Wind Turbine Blade
Simulated performance and aerodynamic characteristics of nr-S809 blade on a Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine, through NREL design codes such as WT_Perf; TurbSim. Compiled code in Fortran to simulate flow over an airfoil. Post processing utilizing Tecplot and Paraview.
Airborne Wind Turbine
Built a working prototype based on conceptualized airborne wind turbine generating power by rotation of motors mounted on a cylindrical blimp, utilizing higher velocity of air at high altitudes. Focused on aerodynamic integration of blades and suspension of the blimp.
Kline Fogleman Airfoils
Investigated characteristics of KF stepped airfoils through post processing data obtained from simulations run on COMSOL Multiphysics and OpenFOAM.
