Heathrow and Stansted are the leading Airlines providers in UK, Here TWD is used a file transfer for processing all the flight details, payment details, procurement details, voucher details apart from these TWD is being used for transferring TIPNET (Threat image projection Network) files

Tumbleweed Admin Responsibilities

Providing 24/7 support as a production support engineer to all the 700 accounts in TWD

Configuring, and maintaining accounts

Troubleshooting day to day system and file problems

Maintain the SUSE Linux Appliance on which TWD is currently running for both Stansted and Heathrow

Creating the rules in TM depending on the project requirement

Mapping the scripts with the TM rules defined with each account

Create user classes and define the restrictions to the users depending on the project requirement

Mounting the windows shares on Linux boxes using sharity

Managing the certificates both Internally and externally

Creating virtual groups and service accounts for the users to access TWD

Pre Upgrade Activities:

Coordinating with Axway and the N/w team regarding the outage window for QA and Production environment.

Taking back up of all the accounts in the current environment (4.9.2) and prepared a document for the same and shared with the Sony Business.

Maintained separate for the accounts that have different attributes attached

(Renaming, PGP Encryptions, Prod only accounts) and shared with the Sony Business

Prepared a schedule for the data file test that needs to be performed for the accounts post upgrade

Contacted all the Account Owners and segregate the Customer details and upload to Share Point

Send communication to Wipro Support regarding the Timelines

Send communication to other stake holders (Application Managers, Customers and Account Owners).

Schedule calls with customers we plan to test E2E and inform date/time

Post Upgrade Activities

Informed all the account owners & Customers regarding the New version of Tumbleweed (5.2)

Monitoring the Active-Active cluster post upgrade for a particular interval of time

Checking for all the server logs to make sure all the file transactions are updated in the logs

Run Batches and update all the packages on the new system

Conducted connectivity test for all the accounts(External Servers)

Conducted data file test for the selected accounts

Documented the test results and shared with Sony Business

Unsubscribe and Subscribe the subscription folders for the accounts which

are not working fine

Documented the issues which we are facing during file transfer and worked with Axway to sort the issues

Seeking confirmation from all the account owners that the Interfaces are working fine

Monitoring the scheduled jobs closely so as to make sure that Tumbleweed Auto pull and Auto push file transfers are not delayed.
