Assembly Mechanic/Technician

Responsibilities

Follow assembly drawings, blueprints, and layout diagrams to perform all tasks, in a compliant manner.

Select, align, join and assemble all mechanical components and sub-assemblies.

Examine and verify quality of all components, before and after assembly.

Prepare and maintain accurate quality and assembly documentation, as required.

Actively involved in teardown, maintenance and repair of generators and AC/DC drill motors.

Repairs and maintenance of drawworks (Conventional and ADS)

Activities include pipe laying, tubing, mounting of drums, motors and blowers with the use of various assembly tools.

Maintaining a clean environment within work stations

Grinding of parts with the use of grinders.

Clean and open bores with the use PG wheels and wire wheels.

Lock out /Tag out equipment when faulty

Tag and issue NCR for non-conformity parts.

Daily inspection and operating of cranes

Reporting of incidence immediately

Troubleshoot, tear down, repairs and return of drill motors, and generators.

Assembling activities includes, priming, name plate layout, assembly of connection box and heater box, packing of bearing and closing motors.

Assemble products with reference to drawings and blueprints.

Assemble products as per customer specification

Installation and testing of RTD with the use of a multimeter.

Installation and testing of Amature and Exiter field

Using a Megger to test the insulation on end frames.
