Career Summary:

I have 5+ years in Retail Management, including cash handling and reconciliation, loss prevention, merchandising, and employee hiring, development and training. In addition, I have done 3+ years of office and administrative work. I have held a variety of different positions requiring critical thinking, multi tasking, and dealing with both customers and employees. I possess excellent communication skills, and the ability to delegate productively, or work independently.

2008-present: Stay at home parent and caregiver for my elderly father, who has dementia.

2007: Marty’s/City Gear, St. Louis, MO

My Store Manager duties and accomplishments included opening three stores, as St. Louis was a new market for the company, merchandising, building an effective staff, and complete responsibility for store operations. I was also responsible for building the “brand” through cooperative marketing with other businesses in the area, and planning events such as tent sales and live music DJ’s at our store. I resigned to care for my father.

2006: Convergys, Arnold, MO

I was a Call Center Representative responsible for sales of AT&T products and plans to new and existing customers in an inbound call environment. This position required extensive customer service and the ability to analyze customer needs to ensure complete satisfaction.

2005-2006: MERS/Goodwill, Florissant, MO

As a Store Manager, I was responsible for merchandise flow from donation dock to sales floor. This was a unique position which required the ability to train my staff in sorting, pricing, and selling merchandise to maximize sales for the organization.

2003-2004: Value City Department Store, Swansea, IL

I served as Human Resource Administrator, with duties including employee orientations, daily balancing of all store registers, maintaining employee files, and entering schedules into Kronos software. I also served as the office assistant and receptionist.

2000-2002: Rug Doctor LP, Fenton, MO

As a Buyer, I was responsible for maintaining the Purchasing Department’s files, fielding calls from prospective vendors, sourcing new products, and working proactively with my department to reduce production costs. I was also the main data entry person for the department.
