I have worked in the accounting field for over ** years. I managed an H&R Block Office for three years in Michigan. I was able to increase the client list from 150 to 600 clients in a small community in the upper peninsula of Michigan through excellent customer service and sound management practices. I also had the opportunity to relocate the H&R Block office to a new location and managed the building renovation from beginning to completion.

I was an Accounting Technician for six years with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) at the Newberry Operations Service Center. My administrative area covered five counties including six field offices with multiple divisions represented in each office. My responsibilities included accounts payable as well as assisting field managers and supervisors with finance, procurement and administration of facility and property management for the department. The position required comprehensive technical knowledge in the areas of contract management, which included personal service contracts and capital outlay. I also prepared, audited and analyzed financial reports in conjunction with management.

While the agency sets broad policy, each division/office/bureau has the authority to interpret the policy and to establish specific procedures and practices for implementation. That diversity required me to use sound organizational skills, efficient training methods, effective communication and prioritizing.

Most recently I worked as a staff accountant for homeowner management companies in Nevada. This included accounts payable as well as reconciling and preparing monthly financial statements for 30 + HOA’s.
