Project # 3

Electronic Arts(EA)- Daybreak Build, Nordic Support and ABC migros

Client : Electronic Arts(EA)

Duration : Jan’09 – Aug ’09

Role : Techno-Functional Consultant

Team size : 7

Environment : Oralce Apps11i(OM,PO,Inv ), Oracle 9i, EDI,TIBCO, Windows XP, SSH.

Version : 11.5.9

Project Profile:

Daybreak:

Daybreak solution will leverage existing European Oracle e-biz implementation on an existing technology infrastructure. Oracle E-biz has already been implemented for all countries related to Daybreak project, and they are using are using most of the E-biz core modules. The only difference that daybreak project will replace ENS warehouse serving Nordic countries and Finland will move out CEO warehouse. Eventually all EU countries along with emerging markets will move out of CEO to Arvato. Thus finally both ENS and CEO operations will be replaced by Arvato.

Conceptually the hub will have two primary components - the ERP Interface (ERPI) and the Trading Partner Interface (TPI). Broadly, these interfaces can be classified into two categories – inbound and outbound. The inbound interfaces are the set of document/message types that the trading partners send to EA. The outbound interfaces are those that EA transmits to its trading partners.

For outbound interfaces the process for a particular transaction in the ERPI component extracts all the transaction records for that transaction type from the ERP interface tables, builds a common data model (CDM) object and publishes it on a topic for that transaction type. For inbound transactions, the ERPI receives transactions as CDM objects through the messaging bus and stores them into the ERP database

Using TIBCO will configure all the message types for Arvato in Day Break Project.

CRMIS service is basically implemented to enable the interface between AV-NOI and EA to share the MIS reports details. CRMIS Process added to send CRMIS file once MIS report has been generated by AV-NOI.

Using the AV-NOI CRMIS process TIBCO sending required data for CRMIS to EA.

Nordic:

The primary goal of the Nordic Order to Cash project is to optimize European supply chain efficiency and thus achieve cost savings for the EA business in the Nordics region. In order to achieve this, the existing ENS managed service in the Nordics (for EA Norway, EA Denmark and EA Sweden) is to be terminated in April 2009, and the business repositioned as follows:

The Order to Cash (O2C) processes are to be “in sourced” and aligned to the existing European O2C processes used by other territories.

The Warehouse Management and Distribution processes to be re-located to a new 3rd Party Logistics (Arvato) provider that will be enabled as part of Project Daybreak (CEO replacement),

The EA Finland processes (which are already run internally by EA) are to be aligned with the EA Norway, EA Denmark and EA Sweden solution i.e. alignment of the Order to Cash processes and a consolidation of warehouse management and distribution services to be delivered by the new 3PL warehouse.

Nordics O2C solution will leverage existing European Oracle e-biz implementation on an existing technology infrastructure. Oracle E-biz has already been implemented for Nordic countries, and the Nordics are using most of the E-biz core modules. The only difference that this project brings is to enable the O2C cycle modules for higher volume of customer transaction and receipt activity, and a rearrangement of process and task ownership. The re-arrangement of Nordics O2C process ownership will result in some business processes (eg, Sales Administration) to be managed in-house by EA, and other business processes to be managed by a 3PL (to be decided by Daybreak) other than the existing ENS warehouse.

ABC migros:
