Operated CNC lathe to put double lead threads on casing for oil well. roll pipe into position (20 ft pipe sections), load

into machine via pnuematics, once in machine, grasp with jaws, check for runout of .04 or less. if not indicate in with

nice large mallet. set tool face, move in to clean face-but have room to finish part. ensure clearance on o.d. (o.d. run

out of < .04 is sufficient for tool to clear horizontaly) and check inserts replacing every third part the roughing insert.

changing finish insert as needed, by tolerance obtained from ball gauges. once rough out and finish complete check

threading insert, ensure not chipped and in good condition. once run, check insert for any chipping, check threads for

any steps. deburr beginning of thread and end of thread, followed by gauging if distance from back wall to gauge is in

tolerance. you have one good part. remove carefully from machine and repeat.
