Poona Hospital is a sophisticated multi-disciplinary tertiary referral 200 bedded Hospital. Besides Radiology and Imaging, the Hospital also has Cardio-Thoracic, Neuro Surgery and Intensive Care Departments to name a few. It is recognized as a Hospital for post-graduate teaching. Highly qualified specialists work in tandem round the clock to provide high quality medical care to the surrounding population of Pune.

Radiology Department of Poona hospital comprises of two separate radiography rooms. Routine as well as emergency radiography is carried out with an output of almost 300 Radiographs per day, and routine conventional procedures under my supervision.

Ultrasonography Dept has one section where almost 400 ultrasound studies are performed every month. There is a dedicated peripheral color Doppler unit in the same premises. Approximately 80 color Dopplers are carried out every month.

Performed minor interventional procedures (diagnostic as well as therapeutic) under ultrasound and CT control.

Lilivati Hospital is one of the most well known sophisticated research institutes of approx 300 beds. The radiology department has most of the advanced modalities used in clinical diagnosis.

While working in Lilavati Hospital Imaging Department for twelve months was exposed to all the conventional as well as advanced modalities in Radiology.

CT Scan Department

- developed strong interest in CT Scan radiology with following experiences;

work experience using the 16-slice Multislice CT - performing 25-30 CT everyday. Performed various FNAC, biopsies.

Also completed Comparative Study of CT Coronary Angiography and Catheter Angiography (study included 50 patients)

MRI Dept:

Gained primary experience on 2 month assignment in MRI.

Ultrasound & Doppler:

2 months posting with 30-40 patients for USG and 7-8 patients for Doppler everyday.

Performed USG guided procedures such as FNAC, plural and ascitic tapping.

Conventional Radiology:

Special interest in conventional Radiology.

Reported 150-200 X rays and perform 5-6 conventional fluoroscopic procedures. I

Assisted digital subtraction angiographies for brain.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE:

Post graduate M. D. Dissertation - Study of Role of Computer tomography in evaluation of intracranial Infections.

Comparative Study of CT Coronary Angiography and Catheter Angiography (study included 50 patients) – Liliavati Hospital.

Concluded that CT coronary angiography is 90-95% accurate in detecting the coronary abnormality.

Throughout training, regularly involved in education of undergraduate medical students. Gave regular lectures and seminars on behalf of Dept of Radiology at Pravara Medical College on following topics.
