This project is being implemented for GTECH Corporation Inc. who are world's leading provider of authorized gaming systems to the lottery industry. GTECH provides customized solutions that meet the needs of Lotteries, governments and corporations over six continents.

The baseline (Pro:Sys) of the online lottery system has the host server developed on C running on UNIX/Open VMS, database being Sybase/DB2 running on UNIX. The POS terminals are connected to the central host system. The terminals are developed using embedded C/Altura running Linux.

The Americas Support team of HCL GTECH operating from its Global Development Center located at Chennai handles the software support to US lottery customers (namely Washington State, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Louisiana, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Missouri, South Dakota, Florida, Georgia, West Virginia, Virginia, Oregon, North Carolina, California). The prime responsibility is to address the local/global RFSS (Request For Software Services), enhancement and hotline calls, infrastructure supports, Data center & Software support, including migration and conversion.
