Responsibilities include assessing, investigating and resolving high priority and complex Employee Relations concerns while ensuring consistency and efficiency for the client which has locations across the country. I am assigned to the High Impact team which investigates complex issues such as sexual harassment, discrimination, workplace violence and wage and hour violations as well as other policy violations. The Site Specialist develops a case plan for each investigation, reviews appropriate policies, identifies the parties that may be contacted during the investigation, reviews any pertinent employee data, gathers necessary documentation, conducts interviews with the necessary individuals at all levels of the organization, summarizes the information found during the investigation, discusses options for resolution that are consistent with company policies; and, drafts the separation documentation following a termination decision. The role seeks advice and escalates issues when appropriate.

Responsibilities as the Associate Director (which also functioned as the Human Resources Business Partner) for the private, non-profit organization included working directly with the Executive Director to create and implement company goals/objectives, HR strategies/programs for up to 70 employees at 6 work sites; talent acquisition and on-boarding, employee development and retention; performance management; employee relations; policy development and enforcement; leave of absence; rewards and compensation; unemployment compensation; workers compensation; records management; legal and labor law compliance; advertising; strategic and long range planning.
