Lithograph Operator

6/2012 - 11/2014 Exal Corp., Youngstown, Ohio

Printed on aluminum cans, operating a lithographic 7 station printing

press along with a base coater and over-varnish coater. Duties also

included proofreading, setups, color match, quality maintenance,

operation, and changeovers.

Journey Pressman

3/1996 - 9/2009 Avery-Dennison, Strongsville, OH

Ran Arsoma, Mark Andy, and Webtron printing presses up from 6 in.

to 16 in. wide. Responsible for proofreading, setup, color match,

quality maintenance, operation, and tear down. Much label

construction involved converting, laiminating/delaminating material,

use of turnbars, water-based, solvent-based, and UV inks. Much

press re-webbing was required to cure inks, either through use of

heaters or UV lamps. Also operated Mark Andy press with hot stamp

for manufacturing of CD security labels. Other construction included

undercover and window labels, use of dies, perforaters, knifecut,

trim, and other various tooling. Performed most of the maintenance

and repairs. Won many awards for production ideas and assisting

others. Led my cell in production last 3 quarters of employment.

4/1986 - 1/1996 Salem Label,,

Started in shipping, then promoted to press helper where I was

responsible to support all midnight shift presses (Mark Andy &

Webtron) plus mix ink, cut and mount plates, tear down/setup jobs,

and perform maintenance. Then promoted to press operator (16 in.

Mark Andy), later bid onto a Webtron and moved to their IPD plant

as the top operator, training everyone else who followed. Ended as

foreman/journey press operator running my press while supervising

the entire midnight shift.
