WORK HISTORY:

2009 – 2015 Hanson Aggregates, Stroudsburg, PA

OPERATIONS MANAGER: Managed day-to-day operations of quarry, asphalt plant, heavy equipment shop, construction equipment shop. This location was responsible for producing 350,000 tons of aggregate and 180,000 tons of hot-mix asphalt.

Met budgeted goals for production and operating costs for over 6 consecutive years

Implemented a formalized training program for a diverse work force of over 30 people where a training program had not existed

Improved company safety program in compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and company standard rules and regulations. Zero reportable incidences during my 6-year tenure.

Increased production tonnage by 25 percent and reduced downtime well below the national standard of 15 percent to 4 percent

Planned, developed, and implemented a $2.5 million plant addition by adding crushers and conveyors to take a 24-hour-a-day recrush operation and turn it into an 8-hour-a-day and, completed on time and under budget.

Developed yearly financial and production budgets and monthly gap analyses

Transitioned a major plant operation (1.5 million tons of aggregate and 250,000 tons of hot-mix asphalt) from diesel generation to purchased electric (grid) from a nearby

Covanta “energy from refuse” plant.

Single-handedly raised $55,000 (of the $200,000 needed) from vendors for an American Red Cross emergency mobile response vehicle that was destroyed in 9/11.
