• Coordinated with all Team Leaders to ensure that all specialized needs where available for the surgical cases.

• Worked closely with all Surgeons to streamline inventory and decrease costs, which resulted in $200,000 in savings.

• Chaired the New Technology Committee. This committee is comprised of Nurse Managers, Doctors, Materials Management, and Finance. This committee is responsible for looking at new procedures, equipment, and instruments to keep with the competition, but also in looking at decreasing the costs with a favorable outcome.

• Supervised the ancillary staff to help facilitate turnover for all OR rooms. Turnover was at least 45 minutes to one hour. Reduced time to 30 minutes.

• Collaborated with the Materials Management as project lead to move the disposable items from CSP to the OR and re-designed the picking process and implement just in time inventory control system, reducing inventory on hand savings over $300,000.

• Scrubbed and circulated on cases when needed.

• Filled in as Charge Nurse to run the OR board when on vacation and for lunch.

• Worked closely with CSP to redesign the picking of cases and how to increase their productivity. Served as Acting Director when the organization was searching for one.
