I fully enjoy my career working in the oil and gas industry, i have a very good attitude towards work I am also very reliable and hardworking. I have 10 Years’ experience and I am a very good team player and can work on own initiative. I am a very experienced Deck Foreman and can adapt to all situation. I have worked on many drilling campaigns across the North Sea such as Through Tube Rotary Drilling, 30” conductor replacement (Auk North) side tracks and work over’s. I have been involved in many rig upgrades and familiar and experienced with all drilling equipment. I have worked with mud pumps and also pumps which have also been equipped with pre quip. I have knowledge of building B.O.P.S nippling up and down, looking for a career change that would excel me for further progression in my career. I am expierenced in rigging operations, complex, non-complex, simple and routine. I have over 10 years expierence in all lifting operations inlucidng large aspects of different weights.

Aug 2014 – Present KCA Deutag, North Sea

Deck Foreman – Dunbar & Borgstan Dolphin Hook up Automatic Rig

Working on the Dunbar platform has gave me experience in using all automatic equipment available such as the pipe mate which is a fully automatic machine with conveyer for the handling of all size of drill pipe. During my time with KCAD on the Dunbar the platform has gone through rig upgrades ready for the platform to commence drilling operations. My role is much the same as my duties of previous employment.

Aug 2013 –Aug 2014 Archer Drilling, North Sea

Deck Foreman & Assistant Crane Operator – Brae Alpha Conventional Platform

Duties include supervision of 3 roustabouts. Co-ordinate supply vessels, including bulk transfers on a regular Basis. Carry out TBT for non-routine, complex lifts and routine deck operations. Look after rigging loft card system, sling checks and lifting equipment. Laying out, picking up drill pipe and casing, back loading cargo plus all drilling equipment and tools.

General Deck lifts and liaising with platform crews, ensuring lift categorisation sheets are in place for each lifts. Assisting crane operator was needed.

July 2013 – August 2013

Northern Offshore Assistant Crane Operator – Jack Up

Working on the jack up energy endeavour as assistant crane operator. Duties included supervising roustabouts, crane maintenance and upgrades. Jack up was stacked at docks so a lot of rig upgrades were taking place, top drive change out, elmago brake and crane upgrades which I was part of.

August 2006 – August 2013

Started working with Odfjell Drilling uk as a roustabout, general duties included general housekeeping, rig maintenance upkeep, general deck lifts and working supply vessels on deck. I’ve worked part as team on various drilling projects across Talisman Energy’s oil

platforms across the North Sea; I also have 2 years’ experience on Odfjells roving/maintenance crew which involved upgrades to drilling packages on various platforms. In 2009 I was promoted to drilling Deck Forman on the Talisman Fulmar Auk North project, duties included working supply vessels, keeping rig floor active with various drilling equipment, supervising 3 roustabouts, general deck lifts and liaising with platform deck crew. Duties also included performing authority for routine and non routine deck lifts making sure lift categorisation sheets were in place for complex and simple lifts. In 2010 i changed oil platform now on Talisman Clyde platform were I am now assistant crane operator and have 40 hours plus working supply vessels from crane. My general duties are still same as above.

September 2001-2006

Stone mason around various quarries around the Lancashire area. General duties included coursing stone, making cutting fettling stone flags to order, worked way up to quarry supervisor making stone was correct grade to size. Making sure deadlines were completed and delivered.
