The work on the Shah Field is aimed at producing up to 1 billion cubic feet per day (cf/d) of gas to help boost ADNOC’s output to a targeted 6 billion cf/d.

Responsibilities:

Working as Senior QA Engineer for Flour which is the Project Management Consultant. My Major activities are to participate in COMPANY Quality or technical compliance audits for CONTRACTOR, Sub CONTRACTOR or Vendors.

Review the contract documents for each Construction stage/phase in respect of QA/QC requirements and procedures and advise the Project Manager of any deficiency. Participate with PMC staff in assessing concession requests and field Design Changes as submitted by CONTRACTOR.

Project 6: Abu Dhabi Crude Oil Pipeline Project (ADCOP)

Client: IPIC (International Petroleum Investment Company)

Contractor: CPECC (China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corp.)

Project description:

The pipeline is ordered by the International Petroleum Investment Company in order to increase the security of supply and reduce oil transportation through the Strait of Hormuz. The 48-inch diameter 20.3 mm pipeline is 360 kilometers long, of which 14 kilometres is an offshore section. It passes east of Abu Dhabi city, through Sweihan and west of Al Ain. The pipeline has a capacity of 1.5 million barrels per day. It was designed by Worley Parsons. Construction was managed by ILF Consulting Engineers and carried out by China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation. The pipeline is designated to supply the refinery in Fujairah as also the Fujairah export terminal

Responsibilities:

Working as NDE Engineer for the CPECC (China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corp.) which is a firm allotted as EPC contract for the said project. My major activities are to ensure the NDT systems, Welding procedure review, Film interpretation, to Review NDT procedure, review the NDT & Welding reports.

If one single element bestows the status of world-class on the new Bay Bridge, it is the Self-Anchored Suspension (SAS) Span. This engineering marvel will be the world's largest SAS Bridge (2,047 feet). Traditional main cable suspension bridges have twin cables with smaller suspender cables connected to them. These cables hold up the roadbed and are anchored to separate structures in the ground. While there will appear to be two main cables on the SAS, there is actually only one.

Verify the daily records of welding consumables issued and returned log for right quantities, baking of electrodes at specific temperature and time, temperature of holding ovens, baking ovens flux ovens, quivers.

Monitor storage treatment and flow of welding consumables and performance of welding equipment to meet the contractual requirement of the project.

Preparation of test packages for piping as per system limits, coordination to incorporate the project procedures.

Inspection of raw material, stage wise and final inspection of the product as per the approved QAP and Process Chart.

Ensuring that the inspections are carried out in accordance with approved Quality Assurance Plans by trained and qualified QC /NDT Engineers / Officers.
