Present (temporary) address:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have worked as a geologist in both the petroleum (wellsite) and mineral exploration industries but am currently seeking work in the field of environmental geology. For most of my career (beginning in 1980), I have worked as a contract geologist in the minerals sector, conducting gold, uranium and base metal programs on behalf of many junior exploration/ mining companies. Thus, I’ve gained a great deal of experience in the mapping and structural interpretation of diverse geological terranes, with extensive involvement in trenching, diamond drilling, core logging, rock and geochemical (soil, stream & lake sediment) sampling, data compilations, interpretation of geophysical surveys, map & report preparation, and liasing with government agencies on matters of regulatory environmental procedures regarding field activities.

My experience in petroleum geology includes wellsite work on many oil and gas wells – namely, tar-sands core-drilling projects in the Fort McMurray area of northeastern Alberta (2000-2001), conventional gas well drilling in western and northwestern Alberta (2001 & 2004), heavy oil

(horizontal) drilling, in Saskatchewan (2001) and a couple of exploratory shale-gas operations in the (Carboniferous) Sedimentary Basin of western Newfoundland (2002 & 2010). Prior to the start of my involvement with wellsite work, I completed the required Can-Strat course (Geology of the Western Canada Basin) and a H2S training course. I believe in bringing dedication, thoroughness and integrity to my work -- not only in terms of ensuring that the most accurate or reliable interpretations be made from available geoscientific data, but that these principles are of utmost importance to me, personally. Also, I have dealt with all work challenges in a timely and professional manner and have always gotten along, very well, with colleagues and other industry personnel. I am willing to start in any capacity that you deem a suitable (entry) level towards meeting your particular requirements as well as advancing my own knowledge and skills in the field of environmental geology. An outline of my work experience is attached. Sincerely,

Wilson J. Jacobs Email: acr8t7@r.postjobfree.com

January-March, 2002 Deer Lake Oil & Gas Inc.

Evaluation of oil and gas potential of the Carboniferous Sedimentary (Deer Lake) Basin of western Newfoundland through analysis of (earlier) mineral exploration drill core and literature research. Carried out Phase 1 of an oil and gas well: sample analyses/descriptions of formation lithologies by microscope. Preparation of a geological report covering additional properties by DLO&G in the Ordovician platformal carbonate sequences of the Port au Port Peninsula, Newfoundland.

July, 2001 - Sept, 2001 Microtech Wellsite Consulting Ltd Employed as a wellsite geologist under sub-contract to Burlington Resources Ltd on conventional gas wells in northwestern Alberta. Work involved rigging & operation of gas detectors, microscopic sample analyses and monitoring of down-hole geophysical detection methods in formation logging, preparation of strip/well-log sections, liaising with geophysical/ wireline logging firms and general reporting to Calgary office. Dec, 2000 – Mar, 2001 McLeay Geological Consultants Ltd Employed as a wellsite geologist under contract to Petro Canada Oil & Gas Ltd on tar sands coring projects in the Hangingstone & Lewis Creek areas of northeastern Alberta. Work involved core logging, microscopic sample analyses in formation logging, prep. of strip/well-log sections, rigging & operation of gas detectors, liaising with geophysical/wireline logging firms and general reporting to Calgary office.
